| Canada’s Next Top Ad Exec |
Canada’s Next Top Ad Exec, run by McMaster’s DeGroote School of Business, is an national advertising and marketing competition that challenges teams of two business students to create and pitch a marketing plan to some of Canada’s top marketing execs! This year, students will be challenged to create a marketing campaign for the CHEVROLET CRUZE.
The winning team will win a brand new, 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, NO STRINGS ATTACHED! The top ten teams are also eligible for Internships with some of the countries top marketing and ad agencies.
An information session will be held in early January next semester. Keep your eyes and ears open around campus for more news about the competition.

The Marketing Society is holding an end of the semester social called 'The Board Meeting' for ALL COMMERCE STUDENTS this Friday, November 20th at the Brass Taps from 7pm- 9pm. It is one more chance to have some fun with The Marketing Society this semester. It promises to be a great event!

| Run for the Cure |
On Sunday October 4th the Marketing Society participated in the CIBC The Run for Cure here in Guelph. Everyone ran with their whole heart and we raised over $500 for cancer research. Thanks to all those who came out to the event.

| 5:30 Club Guest Speakers Series |
The Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies organizes a bi-annual speaker series, known as the 5:30 CLUB, to provide an opportunity for business practitioners to share their knowledge and experience on a selected issue of interest to our undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and members of the Guelph community.
5:30 CLUB events begin and end with opportunities for students, alumni, faculty and members of the Guelph community to meet with the invited presenter. The presentations are typically about 45 minutes long.

Hello Everyone! On Sunday October 4th the Marketing Society has a team that is running in the CIBC Run For the Cure. If you want to come and show the team some support it is at St. Goerges Square in downtown Guelph at 9:30am. Keep your eyes and ears open for some sweet events that are coming up in October and November.

The soccer game was a success! Thanks to all who joined us. We had 40 participants making 4 teams. I would report on who won the games but I don't think anyone recorded wins, we were having too much fun to do that.
